Gina, the first time I met u & the Opus team was about 4-5 years back at Kroaknights, and then later on at my first band performance with Avril Quadros. It was your warm inviting smile & that big heart of yours which made us feel at home. I'd like to share a quote which was mentioned by the Late Michael Jackson:“If you enter this world knowing you are loved and you leave this world knowing the same, then everything that happens in between can be dealt with.” Yes Gina, you knew that you were loved by all, and you loved them back. And you dealt all the things around you with complete ease. We will miss u a lot Gina. Till we meet again, Sleep in Heavenly Peace.

EULOGY FOR GINA AT HER FUNERAL SERVICE 04 October 2009 ________________________________________________________________________________ I stand here in the house of God, before his sanctified altar, and a thousand questions course through my mind. One of them I want to shout out loud: What is this thing called Life? What is it about? What is the point of the miracle of granting it, when what may one day follow that miracle is this awful, heart-rending, catastrophic snatching away of it? Thy Will be done, we say. Thy Will be done. Of course, it will be done, because you are all-powerful. Omnipotent. But are you not also all-knowing . . . omniscient? Did you not know that in this world of burgeoning mediocrity, where millions walk through leaving barely a trace of having ever been here, the life of one who made it all worthwhile for so many of us had to be protected at all costs? Could you not see that a world without her is a world so impoverished, so shorn of the fine lustre she brought to everything she did, that it couldn't possibly be the world you had in mind on that long ago creation day? What in heaven’s name were you thinking when you took your all-seeing eye off this wonderful child, at that one inexplicable moment of silly playfulness? Why could your palm, in which you held her so safely during her short and oh so beautiful life, not protect her when she walked out over its edge? So many questions. But there are no easy answers. Perhaps there will never be. What there is, is a hole in a skylight through which our Gina . . . flew away. Sweet bird of a youth that she rekindled and revived in me every time she walked her radiant smile into a room. Dear Gina. We’ll miss you . . . how we will miss you.
